Kailua

Kailua - Kailua is located on the eastern coast, also known as the Windward side of Oahu.  Kailua is a beautiful and vibrant beach town that is perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. It has some of the best schools in Hawaii, with highly rated public schools like Kailua Elementary School, Kailua Intermediate School, and Kalaheo High School. The community is also home to several private schools, including Le Jardin Academy and St. Anthony School. In terms of community activities, Kailua has something for everyone. The community has several parks, including Kailua Beach Park and Kalama Beach Park, which are perfect for picnics, swimming, and water sports. Kailua is also home to several shopping centers, restaurants, and art galleries, as well as the popular Kailua Farmers' Market. Commuting from Kailua to Honolulu can be a bit challenging during rush hour, but the H-3 freeway provides a more direct route to the city.  Kailua is also close to the beautiful Lanikai Beach, which is consistently ranked as one of the best beaches in the world.  Hike up to the Lanikai Pillbox for a spectacular view of the offshore islands known locally as “the Mokes”.
