Waimanalo - Waimanalo is a small community located on the east coast of Oahu, just south of Kailua. Waimanalo has some of the best public schools in Hawaii, including Waimanalo Elementary and Intermediate School and Kailua High School. The community also has several private schools, including St. George School and Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. In terms of community activities, Waimanalo is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts. The community is home to several beautiful beaches, including Waimanalo Beach Park and Bellows Beach Park, which are perfect for swimming, sunbathing, boogie boarding, and surfing. Waimanalo is also close to the popular Makapuu Lighthouse Trail, which offers stunning views of the ocean and surrounding coastline. Commuting from Waimanalo to Honolulu can be challenging during rush hour, but the Kalanianaole Highway provides a more direct route to the city.
